Teacher Appreciation Cards

It's been sooooo long since I posted on this blog. (I'm surprised it's still up.) It's been so crazy busy as the kids get older and their schedule gets more hectic. Don't get me wrong. I love it and I would not trade it for the world; but, I am perpetually exhausted!!!

Here are some cards I made for Teacher Appreciation week. I "epically" failed by just throwing some stuff in a basket. I can't do the daily "bring in a fruit, flower, etc..."

It's been a while too since I made some cards. I forgot how much fun and satisfying it is to make cards. I used the following items:

  • Lawn Fawn "thanks" scripty die
  • Mama Elephant "Words Defined"
  • MFT die-namics Chalkboard Frame Builder
  • Stampin Up Wood-grain background stamp
  • Stampin Up Owl Punch

Birthday Gift Card Holder ("A" cardswap tutorial.)

Thank you for heading here to my blog. I really appreciate it :)

Here are instructions on how to make this gift card holder that I created for the card swap:

Panel:
  • Take a piece of whisper white cardstock measured at 5 1/8 X 3 1/2. Using a corner rounder, round off the top two corners.
  • Using a 1 1/4 circle punch, punch out circles from coordinating designer series paper or solid card stock. Fold in half. Adhere to the top of the card panel.
  • Using a vertical slot punch (you may also use an 1/8 circle punch,) pierce an opening in the middle of the tab.
  • Thread ribbons through and tie off with bakers twine.
  • To adhere the gift card, use a piece of glue dot.
Sentiment:
  • Die cut or punch out oval pieces.
  • Stamp your sentiment.
  • Sponge around the edges to get a finished look.
  • Adhere on to the mini treat bag.

Mini treat gift bag

I can't believe the 4th of July is almost here! 4th of July also happens to be my sister's birthday (and, yes, her name is Liberty!) Here is a treat bag that I made for her. I ended up using Stampin Up' Gorgeous Grunge to fill in the blank spots. I love this stamp set -- it is so versatile.

*** Tomorrow, Monday June 29, is the last day to purchase this Mini Treat Bag Thinlit dies for $30.00. It is normally $40.00***
